Welcome to our Research Group
This research group is dedicated to exploring the motivations and triggers of consumer misbehaviors and the dark side of consumer behavior as well as various issues relating to consumer behavior in the offline and online contexts. Our primary emphasis involves understanding Consumer Misbehaviours, such as consumer revenge behaviors and relevant destructive consumption behaviors that occurred after the covid-10 pandemic such as panic and revenge buying behaviors. By examining the prevalence of such acts nowadays especially with the widespread use of the internet and social media platforms, we aim to provide new insights into previously unidentified forms of consumption behaviors and revenge behaviors. As well as identifying the key triggers and consequences of such behaviors and their impact on service providers, the society, and other consumers as well. By examining these issues, we scrutinize issues in consumer behavior, Service marketing, and Technology use and Adoption. Adopting theoretical frameworks such as the Theory of Planned Behaviour, theory of cognitive appraisal, Justice and fairness theory, and the stimulus-organism- response model.
